What time gave to angels, Scotland brings back to life.
Once lost to peat and time, returned by the Highland Esk, with an angel’s share of malt whisky still breathing from the Scotland distillery.

First proposed in 1896, the site was transformed from industrial works into the Highland Esk malt whisky distillery. Built with local barley, pure water, and a clear industrial vision, it was founded in 1897. The Scotland distillery officially opened in November 1898, presenting itself to the whisky trade in London. Production was designed for time and maturation, not immediacy. After falling silent, Highland Esk was lost to peat, cask, and absence. Today, its spirit returns, carrying history forward.
