Highland Esk

Highland Esk is an independent Scotch whisky company based in Edinburgh, dedicated to the selection, maturation and bottling of distinctive Scotch whiskies.
The name draws inspiration from the Esk rivers that flow through eastern Scotland, from the Highland glens to the North Sea. The word Esk comes from an ancient Celtic root meaning “water”, the element that has shaped both the landscape and the character of whisky for centuries.
Inspired by the historic whisky heritage of Montrose, Angus – 1896, Highland Esk pays tribute to Scotland’s distilling tradition while focusing today on the careful selection, maturation and bottling of characterful casks.
For now, the work centres on selection, maturation and bottling, while quietly keeping alive a long-term vision for what the future may one day bring.
